Deadline Approaching!
Last Chance to Apply for Grant Funding
August 2026
If you have an idea that could make your community a little brighter, stronger, or more connected, now’s the time to act! The deadline to apply for Foundation for Rural Services (FRS) Community Grant funding is August 3, and BEK Communications Cooperative wants to make sure local organizations don’t miss their chance.
The Foundation for Rural Service is a nonprofit organization that partners with NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association to sustain and enhance quality of life in rural America. Through BEK, local organizations right here in our service area may apply for FRS funding to support projects that build and maintain the kind of community we’re proud to call home. Whether it’s a park improvement, a youth program, a community center upgrade, or another local effort that makes a real difference, this grant exists to help good ideas become reality.
Rural communities thrive when neighbors invest in each other, and this grant is one more way BEK helps make that possible. Local organizations are the backbone of small-town life in North Dakota, and the FRS Community Grant gives them a real opportunity to bring their vision to life with meaningful funding support.
With the August 3 deadline fast approaching, now is the time to gather your project details and get your application submitted. Don’t let a great idea sit on the shelf for another year. If you know a local organization with a project worth championing, share this with them too. A little encouragement might be all it takes to get a great community idea off the ground.
