Community Partnership Grants at Work

July 2026

Every year, BEK Communications puts grant dollars directly into the hands of the communities we serve, and every year, those dollars go to work in ways that matter. Two recent Community Partnership Grant recipients have shared what that support has meant for their organizations, and their words say it better than we ever could.

In Strasburg, the fire and rescue department is putting grant funds toward a long-needed expansion of their fire station. As department representative Mike Rohrich explained, space has been a real challenge for the volunteers who answer the call day and night.

“We want to offer our sincere thanks for the grant money given to our department,” Rohrich said. “More space will ensure safety of our volunteers as they prepare for a call. Currently, they are dressing in very crammed spaces. The extra space also will allow for indoor training year around, and more space for our trucks currently housed in tight spaces.”

It’s the kind of practical, community-level improvement that makes a genuine difference for the volunteers who serve and for the neighbors who depend on them.

Over in Tuttle, the Lions Club channeled their grant toward something that will bring joy to families for years to come. Club President Rick Stark shared his organization’s gratitude:

“The Tuttle Lions Club extends a heartfelt thank you to BEK for their generous support in helping us reach our goal of purchasing new playground equipment donated to the Tuttle City Park. We are grateful for BEK’s dedication to Tuttle.”

New playground equipment for a city park. A safer, more functional fire station. These are exactly the kinds of investments BEK’s Community Partnership Grant program was designed to support… practical needs, community-driven solutions, and organizations that show up for their neighbors.

If your organization, department, or group has a project that could use a boost, the next round of Community Partnership Grant applications is due September 30. To learn more and apply, visit bek.coop/coop/grants.
