A major conversation about the future of rural healthcare is now available for everyone to watch, anytime and anywhere, with the help of BEK TV.
At the end of March, lawmakers and the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services hosted a community meeting at the Linton County Courthouse in Emmons County. The focus was the new Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program, a $50 billion, five-year initiative designed to strengthen rural healthcare across the country.
This program aims to improve access to care, support healthcare workers, expand the use of technology like telehealth, and ensure rural hospitals remain financially strong. For communities like ours, these changes could have a lasting impact on how care is delivered for years to come.
Local leaders from schools, emergency services, hospitals, and long-term care facilities attended the Linton meeting to learn how the program will work in North Dakota and to ask important questions about what it means for their communities.
Recognizing how important this conversation is, BEK TV was there to capture it. As part of our commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the communities we serve, BEK TV recorded the full meeting so members who couldn’t attend still have access to the information. You can now watch the entire discussion on your own time through the BEK TV+ app under Special Reports.
BEK Communications also is playing a role in this effort. Through BEK Care Solutions, we continue to provide technology and services that help make healthcare more accessible in rural areas, supporting providers and patients alike.
This is more than just a meeting; it’s a look at the future of rural healthcare. And now, it’s available right at your fingertips.
