BEK TV Sportscasters Win at Sevareid Awards Ceremony
Recognized for Excellence in Play-by-Play Broadcasting
May 2025
BEK TV is proud to celebrate the recent success of two of its talented sportscasters at the Eric Sevareid Awards, hosted by the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association in Minneapolis.
Chris Brintle received first place in the Sports Play-by-Play category for small markets, while Jordan Hassler was honored with an Award of Merit. These recognitions reflect the outstanding talent and dedication both broadcasters bring to BEK TV’s sports coverage. Their passion for the game and ability to engage viewers have set them apart as leaders in their field.
This achievement underscores BEK TV’s continued commitment to providing high-quality, local broadcasting. We congratulate Chris and Jordan on this well-earned recognition and thank them for their contributions to our network and to the communities we serve.
The Eric Sevareid Awards are named after the legendary journalist from North Dakota who became a respected CBS Radio and Television correspondent. Each year, the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association presents these awards to honor the best in broadcast journalism across a six-state region (MN, WI, ND, SD, IA, NE), including work on radio, television, and online platforms.
Congratulations again to Chris Brintle and Jordan Hassler for their remarkable work and dedication to excellence.
