BEK Hosts 74th Annual Meeting

(Steele, ND) - BEK Communications Cooperative’s 74th Annual Meeting was held on June 11 at the Steele Veterans Club in Steel, ND. “Value Beyond Connections” was this year’s theme. The meeting was broadcast live statewide by BEK TV and the BEK TV+ streaming app.


The meeting began with a prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a warm welcome from BEK Board of Directors President Brett Stroh. There were 242 people in attendance, 98 of them were registered members, and more joined via BEK TV.


The meeting continued with BEK CEO Derrick Bulawa introducing the “2025 Year in Review” video, followed by the Auditor’s Report from Chris Skidmore of Baker Tilly, questions from attendees, and election of directors in Districts I, II, III, and IV-East.

Election Results

Members voted to re-elect Sanford Williams of District I, Kevin Bernhardt of District III, and Ed Everson of District V-East. The only contested race was between Incumbent Bob Subart and Chase Dewitz of District II. The voters elected Chase Dewitz to serve on the Board.


After elections, President Brett Stroh asked for old business, of which there was none. He then asked for new business, of which there was none. The meeting was then adjourned.


At the reorganization meeting immediately following the annual membership meeting, the Board of Directors re-elected Brett Stroh to serve as President, Kevin Bernhardt to serve as Vice President, and Bill Becker to serve as Secretary/Treasurer.
