BEK Scholarship Application Process Open

At BEK Communications Cooperative, students aren’t just part of our communities, they’re the future of them. That’s why, for more than 25 years, BEK has proudly supported college-bound students through scholarship opportunities that help open doors to education and career success.


If you’re a BEK Cooperative member, BEK Fiber customer, or a dependent of a member or customer, you may be eligible to apply for one or more of the scholarships listed below. These opportunities are designed to support students pursuing higher education in fields that strengthen rural communities and the workforce of tomorrow.


Available Scholarships

Valley City State University Scholarship
$1,250 – $2,500
Deadline: February 14, 2026
Who should apply: Current or new students pursuing a technology-related degree


Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Scholarship
$1,500 – $7,000
Deadline: February 14, 2026
Who should apply: Rural students entering their first year of college or vocational-technical school


BEK Scholarship
$500
Deadline: March 1, 2026
Who should apply: 2026 graduating seniors entering their first year of college


University of Mary Scholarship
$1,250
Deadline: March 1, 2026
Who should apply: Current or new students pursuing Mass Communications, Computer Information Systems, or similar degrees
