Curious Minds and Fiber Lines
Third Graders Visit BEK HQ
June 2025
It was all smiles and curiosity on May 15 when third-grade students from Kidder County School took a field trip to the BEK headquarters in Steele. Their mission? To learn how fiber optics help connect homes, schools, and businesses to the world.
The halls of BEK were buzzing with excitement as students toured the office, met the friendly faces behind the scenes, and asked some great questions. These young visitors were eager to soak up every detail!
BEK staff enjoyed showing off the technology that keeps communities connected and explaining how tiny strands of glass can deliver blazing-fast internet, crystal-clear TV, and reliable phone service.
To cap off the visit, each student received a BEK goodie bag, a fun surprise to remember their trip.
It was a day full of learning, laughter, and maybe even a few future engineers in the making.
We’re always glad to open our doors to the next generation. After all, today’s students are tomorrow’s innovators, and at BEK, we’re proud to help spark that curiosity!
